Kate Fay Gibson was born on May 11th at 9:51 pm. She weighed 7 lb. 10 oz. and was 20 1/4 inches long. She's just beautiful and we're already in love with her! It'll be hard to convince people that she is actually my daughter-she definitely takes after her daddy. I can't believe we're parents!
Danny was able to "be there" during the labor and delivery via yahoo messenger. The web cam was set up right next to me for most of my 24-hr labor. We set it up through the hospital, who decided that the local newspapers would be interested in publishing our internet labor story. Both the Reporter Herald and the Coloradoan printed the story and a huge picture on the front page! Here's the links if you want to check them out:

Oh, Amy! I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes. She is so sweet and I am so happy for you to be a mother. Isn't it wonderful? I just love you so much and think she is the luckiest little girl to have you for her mom.

Oh yay! Having a baby is so special! Even with a long labor (I feel real sympathy for you there) holding the baby in your arms after all that is just a miracle. I love that feeling. Continue to cherish those feelings and good job making a way to have "dad" be a part of it.
