Happy Easter

Our good friends Katrina and Derrick came over to dye eggs with us.  Kate LOVED it, almost as much as Katrina and me.  Having kids is a great excuse to relive your childhood!

The Girls Perform

I wish I could say that Kate dances like this because she's (almost) 2, but if we took a video of Danny and me dancing it wouldn't look much different. Sorry, Kate!

Charlotte is starting to do more than just eat, poop, and sleep.  Ok, not much more.  But we're eating it up.

Woosey Wuvs Woshun and the Tin Foil Man

Amy used tin foil in the kithen for something yesterday, after which she crumpled it into a ball and gave it to Kate to play with. We were playing with it for a while when I noticed it kind of looked like a man's face. So five minutes of arts and crafts and we had created a pretty freaky looking tin man; somewhere inbetween Michael Jackson and a voodoo doll. Kate loves it and it was a totally cheap albeit creepy creation.
Later that night we were putting Kate to bed and noticed that she cannot say her "l's" yet; must be from her Asian heritage. We spent a few minutes laughing; making her say 'l' words like Lucy, lotion, etc. It's really cute. Hopefully we'll catch it on video soon.

What does it Mean?

Two nights ago I had a strange dream.  I don't remember most of it, but randomly throughout the dream I would find myself in a stinky, gross high school bathroom, just hanging out.  In one of the bathrooms there was a toilet spraying water everywhere.  It was gross.  It was stinky.  Dreams can mean so many different things, so what did this one mean?

Danny came to kiss me goodbye as he left for work that morning and found me with my face nuzzled into one of Charlotte's wet diapers that I'd changed during the night.  I usually put them on the floor but I guess I was particularly out of it that night.

So I guess that explains it.  If you use a wet diaper as a pillow, you may have some pretty crazy dreams.

Happy Birthday Dad (Grandpa Frank) !

Happy Birthday Dad!  Kate is starting to figure out that birthdays are exciting.  She's been singing "Happy Birthday Grandpa" all week.  I can never catch her best performances on video, but she humored me a little.

We love you and wish we could celebrate with you today!  Thanks for being such a great Dad, Grandpa, and Father-in-law!

Charlotte June's Debut

Born March 15th around 8 pm.  She weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long.  Here she is at a week old after her first bath.
Kate's been a big helper.  Here are some of the jobs she's undertaken (some at my request and some on her own): diaper and wipe retriever, crying baby patrol (if the baby's crying, she yells "Mom, baby crying" until I do something about it), Charlotte's personal alarm clock (Gets as close to Charlotte as she can before I can snatch her up and yells "Baby, wake up!"), pacifier thief. What a good big sister!

Charlotte is most happy when "bound and gagged" with blankets and a binky.
