Our little lady
Kate has become a little comedian lately. I wish I could read her thoughts when she makes this face. Is she mocking us, or just trying to make us laugh? Usually this face is coupled with an overly forced fake laugh. My baby is growing up too fast!!

So domestic!
Some of you wanted to see the blanket's I've made lately. Here are two of them. I found a "how to make baby blankets" video series on ExpertVillage.com (great website to teach you anything you want to learn). The blue blanket is for my soon-to-arrive niece, Shad and Bree's daughter (who will hopefully be named "Bonnie Anne" because that's what the blanket says). The "digi" blanket is for one of the guys Danny served in the marine corps with during his first tour of duty (Jayston). Well, it's for his son, Joshua.
Cousin Whitney's Homecoming
My cousin Whitney recently returned from a mission in Jacksonville, FL. Danny, Kate, and I headed to Phoenix for the weekend to see her. It was a little depressing to travel from one desert to another, but Phoenix is a much better desert dwelling than 29 Palms, so it was still a nice getaway.
Kate with her Great Aunts (that sounds old...they're not old) Kathi and Kerri
Notice the grass? It was so nice to walk on real grass!
Nertz was the game of choice over the weekend. It's a good thing we weren't playing for money, because Danny and I would be broke. My cousins Taylor, Tori, and Tanner were just too fast for us old fogies.
Visiting Grandparents
During the 2 weeks we were in CO, we saw 3 snow storms. Brrr!
Grandma Pak Pao made Kate a "portable high chair" that fits like a sleeve on the back of a chair. She didn't have a pattern, and didn't even buy material (she used an old pair of pants!). I hope Kate got some of her genes.
Playing Peek-a-boo at Olive Garden with Grandpa Larry. Restaurants and babies just don't mix.
Shopping with Aunt Amy. I think we're having more fun than Kate is.
Although scared at Grandmpa Frank at first, she finally warmed up a little and let him read to her.
Grandma Kristi loves bath time almost as much as Kate. They got along great.
On the way home, it was time to relax with some trip food and a little sky mall magazine shopping.
Lesson Learned
How do they do it? Babies start out so wobbly and fall every other step. But they pick themselves back up each time and keep trying. It's been a lesson in persistence and diligence for me. Although at the beginning it seemed like she'd never figure it out, she's walking like a champ now. It's been so exciting to watch her!
