Last Monday, Amber, Sheri Bates, Grandma Roundy, and I headed down to Hollywood at 3:45 am with high hopes of winning the big bucks as contestants on The Price is Right. We were decked out in homemade t-shirts that Danny made (thanks, Danny) with the words "Meeting Drew...a Dream Come True" printed on them. We brought camping chairs and a cooler full of food, prepared for whatever the day held for us.
Well, it held a whole lot of waiting. The first line, to get an "order of arrival pass" lasted until 6 am. We were 44th in line so we didn't worry about making it into the show. The next line started at 8 am and lasted until we entered the taping room at noon. And then the fun began!
Well, sort of. Before the show, everyone was dancing and cheering. Once the show began, it was a lot of work to keep cheering and applauding at all the right times. During the show, camera men and producers covered the stage so you couldn't see what was going on. Drew talked to the audience during the commercial breaks about the most random things-sports gambling, the Mall of America, getting married (he's engaged I guess). It was a good time.
None of us were called up as contestants. Oh well, the dream will have to wait.

When we took that picture of us holding all of our stuff, I remember thinking "we should put this down so we look cool!" But now it's a great memory of how much junk we had. What a great, exhausting day!
That's awesome that you went to The Price is Right. Great outfits. :)
Your family picture at the top of your blog is adorable.
